Privacy notice
This is an interim notice for our pre-launch site. It describes exactly what we collect today. We will replace it with our full privacy policy before we take orders or open customer accounts.
Who we are
“Sold On Air”, “we” and “us” refer to the operator of soldonair.com. You can reach us through our contact form.
What we collect, and why
- Premiere and launch alerts. If you sign up, we keep your email address, the interests you tick and when you signed up, so we can tell you when Sold On Air premieres and share show news. Every email will include a way to unsubscribe.
- Supplier applications. If you apply to have a product featured, we keep the business and contact details and product information you submit, so we can evaluate the product and contact you about it.
- Messages. If you contact us, we keep your name, email address and message so we can reply.
- Technical and security data. Like most websites, our servers record your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use this to keep the site secure and working — for example to limit abusive traffic — and we store it alongside form submissions to prevent spam.
- First-party measurement. We set two cookies of our own:
soa_vid, a random identifier, andsoa_attr, which records how you first arrived (for example the campaign in a link, or the name of the site that referred you). We use them to understand which shows, products and channels interest people. They contain no personal details, are not shared with advertisers and expire after 90 days.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking scripts.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run the site for us: our hosting provider, and Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site. When we begin sending email, our email delivery provider will process the addresses we send to. Each acts on our instructions. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Alert sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Supplier applications and messages: as long as needed to evaluate and respond, and to keep business records.
- Technical logs and measurement data: no longer than we need them to run and improve the site.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from alerts at any time using the link in any email we send. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, through our contact form. You can block or delete our cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them.
Children
Sold On Air is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We will update this notice as Sold On Air grows — and always before we start collecting anything new. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
